Reading, writing, and storytelling were my first loves. In both grade school and high school, English and Creative Writing were the classes I always not only excelled in but also looked forward to most. When it came time for college, I immediately knew what I wanted to major in. I received my BA from Rowan University in Writing Arts with a concentration in Creative Writing. Because of my love for the written word, I wanted to explore as many different fields as possible. My courses ran the gamut from Magazine Article Writing to Advanced Fiction to Linguistics to Advertising to Modern Short Story to Web Writing.
While I did well in and greatly enjoyed my writing courses, I have always had a fondness for the visual arts as well. This inclination also grew while I was in college. I became more involved in photography and design. I delved back into drawing and painting for the first time in years. I also reacquainted myself with HTML during this time.
Since graduation, I have continued to develop my creative abilities through writing, photography, digital art, and web design. At the moment I work for a government contractor, but I also blog and do freelance writing and graphic design. I am currently hoping to find a career that will allow me to marry my love of both writing and visual art.
